Steve Linscomb is the weekend Meteorologist for the News 4 WOAI Storm Tracker.

Steve's weather experience dates back to 1989 and most of that has been dealing with severe weather in Tornado Alley. He is a native Texan, born in Corpus Christi, but moved to San Antonio two weeks before Hurricane Celia beat up the coastal city.

He went to Douglas MacArthur High School and graduated from there in 1978. He views his new job here as a coming home since most of his family still lives in San Antonio and Uvalde. Steve graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1982, but also spent time at Texas Tech University and San Antonio College. He's done the majority of his meteorological studies as a student of Mississippi State University.

Steve is married to wife Michelle, who is also from South Texas, and they have three boys: Tyler, Grant, and Holt. Steve enjoys most sports especially tennis and baseball. He enjoys being a little league baseball coach for his young boys. He also enjoys music, history, working on fitness and spending time with his family and friends Steve's philosophy of weather coverage has been forged by his experience covering severe weather.

"It's incredibly important to keep people informed when the weather is changing that quickly and could be a real danger, but it's also important that when people see their weatherman on the air it's someone they can trust, good weather or bad."
