A true South Texas native, Kristina De Leon was born in San Antonio. She spent her childhood years in Del Rio and then moved back to San Antonio. Kristina graduated from MacArthur High School, then from the University Of The Incarnate Word. She double majored in Psychology and Sociology, with a minor in Communication Arts.

The award winning journalist began her career in Laredo at KVTV. She spent nearly three years there as the weekend, then noon show anchor. She helped uncover corruption in the District Attorney's Office which led to the conviction of an Assistant District Attorney. That earned her the Citizen's Service Medal from the Laredo Police Department.

Kristina spent nearly five years as the morning show anchor/reporter for KIII-TV in Corpus Christi, Texas. She's been on the front lines of three hurricanes, and was the first person in the country to locate a family member of a victim aboard the USS Cole.

Before moving back home to San Antonio, Kristina spent a year in the Valley at KGBT-TV as a reporter and producer.

In her spare time she enjoys, baking, aerobics, hunting, and saltwater fishing.... along with spending time with her nieces and nephews.
