News 4 WOAI's Jacqueline Ortiz tallied the votes, and San Antonio has spoken! W.D. Deli has the best soup.

Customers love the place so much; they bring their own china to hang on the walls. They also make it feel like home with pictures of family and friends.

“Thank you! I'd like to thank the customers who come in both locally and from out of town,” said W.D. Deli soup chef Michael Grimes. “I'd like to thank everyone for voting.”

W.D Deli has been around for 21 years, and owned by two hometown guys, Wayne Beers and Michael Bobo. You'll find it located on Broadway between Hildebrand and Mulberry.

I had the most amazing mushroom soup ever at the MGM Grand in Macau. I would literally KILL to find that soup in San Antonio. It was absolutely amazing. Sexual bliss in the mouth!

I don't know guys, Panera Bread has some mighty tasty soups. Just had the French Onion soup today there in the Forum. There are great soups north of downtown!
