"Taste of the Northside" is San Antonio's favorite Fiesta event

SAN ANTONIO - We asked you to nominate your favorite Fiesta event, and the top four were A Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA) NIOSA, The Fiesta Flambeau Parade, Taste of the Northside and The King William Fair. Then we asked you to vote for one of these four.

San Antonio picked Taste of the Northside. Congratulations on winning best fiesta event!

“It was actually one of those where we were honored to be nominated, but thrilled to win,” said event organizer Kim Jefferies.

Now it's time for this week's best of San Antonio. For all you medal lovers out there we need your help on nominating best fiesta medal. You have hundreds to choose from, so we asked what makes a fiesta medal the best.

“They have all the ribbons, colors, flowers. I love all that. I really do.”

“It portrays our city - San Antonio, the Alamo, the town and all that makes it great.”

“I think it's any medal that makes people happy.”

They come in all shapes, sizes and colors: The Battle of Flowers Medal, The Fiesta Flambeau, some royalty medals and then there's the Cleto Fiesta Medal.

So choose wisely. Nominate your choice for best fiesta medal. Just email your choice and a picture (if you have one) to bestofsa@woaitv.com.

It's certainly the most well-behaved crowd anyway. It's probably one of the most expensive, given it's locale and demographics but overall we had a good time.

BEST FIESTA EVENT IS THE ONE EVENT THAT DOES NOT WANT TO RIP YOUR LIPS OFF WITH THE HIGH PRICES ON ANY AND EVERY THING HOW CAN YOU SAY VIVA FIESTA SHOULD BE VIVA WERE DID MY MONEY GO

Taste of the Northside is not a part of SA history with ties to Fiesta. I would have thought that NIOSA and the Flambou Parade go back many years as true San Antonio history to San Antonio. I went to Taste of Northside to see what it was like and it does not come close to being a Fiesta event. It shows poor judgement on those who voted for this event as the best. NIOSA, Fiesta Flambou and even the King William Parade have alot more to offer both the citizens of San Antonio and all the tourists that come to our city during Fiesta. Such poor taste in this nomination.

Seriuously,I wasn't going go...but ya'll are making it so tempting. Cept fo the Tast of the northside thing...isn't the Northside all chain restraunts?

So all the yuppies that live on the north side got all the recognition. I dont get it, arent most if not all the events, hover around downtown san antonio, with the exception of oyster bake and a few at the military bases, but come on taste of the north side, what is paesanos having hispanic food or what. Or is stone werks serving up authentic food now. who cares about the north side,

The north side of San Antonio is the primary bastion of Christians in this city and we will not be attending lewd public orgys where alcohol is served and lacivious behavior is encouraged. This foolishness is nothing more than the Twenty-First Century's version of the Roman Baccanalia. This type of event is promoted by the followers of the Roman Pope as a means to undermine Christian civilization. I urge the Sheriff to come to his senses and come to Jesus, that we might put a stop to this wretched extravaganza of sin.

LindaB have never been to fiesta? Probably because none of your friends (if you have any) want to go with you. You sound like you're too much fun.

I hope all these people pick up their trash after they trash the place. Oh! I forgot these people don't litter. I wish VIA would offer park and ride to this event from the West and East side.
