Harlandale High marches to Best Drumline in SA

SAN ANTONIO -- Strike up the band, we have a winner for the best drumline in SA.

We want to congratulate the top four on the list. They are:

Brandeis High School
Steele High School
Harlandale High School
Clark High School

Thousands of you cast a vote, and the winner for the Best Drumline in San Antonio is....Harlandale High School.

"We'd like to thank everybody who voted for us," said Matthew Tellez. "We went against some good competition, but we came out on top"

The Harlandale Indian drumline is made up of freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. They practice 2 to 3 hours every day.

Congratulations Harlandale Indians for being voted the Best Drumline in San Antonio on WOAITV.com.

Brandeis is good cause they have an awesome drum instructor who used to be Harlandale's Drum Instructor. Harlandale's band sucks now with these new directors. The head director is making sound worse than McCollum when he was over there. But the drumline is way better than the band. **For those of you looking at these lines off youtube.com REMEMBER all videos posted are not from this year only. I bet half of you are looking at previous years drumlines.** We used to have the best drum line but i haven't heard them lately so we'll see at the UIL competition.

I've seen Steele perform. They jump around and get into it, but their playing is dirty and nowhere close to being the best.

I agree with Marfen and drgstarflash. They already have competitions to determine who is the better drumline and how can you judge unless you've heard EVERY SINGLE DRUM LINE in town. Without audio or video, it's simply a popularity contest.

um... the earl Warren high school drum line was just voted the best drum line at the harlandale band contest Saturday and the band also got 1st place

Um... hello!? Brandeis drumline rocks! Just today we got 2nd place in the best percussion catagory at the City Capitol contest!! I mean, i'm in the pit, but we beat out stevens and judson :D

I thought they had competitions to decide who has the best drumline.

So it's down to these four: •Brandeis High School •Steele High School •Harlandale High School •Clark High School If you want to see these drumlines either google them or you tube... I checked all of them out and Steele has it hands down, in my opinion.
