SAN ANTONIO -- Springtime is just about here, and it will be time to get outside and enjoy some wonderful South Texas weather. For many, that will include hopping on a bike and going on some beautiful wind-through-your-hair rides. But what if you need a new bike, some bike accessories, or a repair on your beat up, but much-beloved two-wheeled road warrior?

We asked you to tell us which bicycle shop is the best in San Antonio, and your Top 4 nominees were:

Britton's Bicycle Shop (#brittons)
434 North Loop 1604 W, San Antonio, TX 78232

Bicycle Heaven (#heaven)
1931 NW Military Hwy #121, San Antonio, TX 78213

Performance Bicycle (#performance)
16648 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, TX 78232

Ride Away Bicycles (#rideaway)
11075 Interstate Highway 10 #305, San Antonio, TX

AND THE WINNER IS...BRITTON's BICYCLE SHOP.

Congrats to the folks at Britton's on a job well done.

My husband used to work for bike world and now works at The Bicycle Shack in Boerne. A longer commute but he is much happier! Much more pleasant environment.

Bike world is pretty bad in terms of helping customers. I bought a great crusier from that little bike shop downtown near the library and next to Alamo music about 8 years ago and the guy who sold it to me was really nice and helpful. they also had layaway, which was how I was able to afford my bike, which I still ride to this day. I cant remember the name of it. I think it closed though, I was downtown not too long ago and it isnt there anymore.

Thank goodness neither Bike World on Broadway nor Planet Bike made the list. Both offer the worst customer service ever. If you go into either place to buy a bike or accessories, regardless of how much you are spending, their employees treat you as if you are disturbing them. I will say that I got excellent service at the Bike World location on 1604.

I just went to Rad Rides on Grissom and I think it's GREAT! Right on Leon Creek Greenway, not too much high priced accessories, just a nice mechanic and what you need. http://www.facebook.com/#!/RadRidesBicycleShop?fref=ts

Id have to go with Bike World (both locations) and also Bicycle Shack in Boerne. If ANYONE says Planet Bike, they either work there or they are flat out liars. Planet Bikes customer service is HORRIBLE. Google them if you dont believe me, look at their reviews.
