Pat wanted to put something in writing that combines his love for Texas Dancehalls and the music they foster. The book is a slice of Americana… a tribute to something that is uniquely Texan. Each of the chapters documents a venue’s personality, history, and atmosphere as everyone prepares for and parties at the biggest show in town.
Dancehalls include: Gruene Hall (of course), Billy Bob’s, Luckenbach, Stubb’s Bar B-Q, The Bandera Cabaret, The Coupland Inn, Schroeder Hall, Floore’s Country Store, Sons Of Hermann Hall and Saengerhalle.
