I agree with MK Ultra ... I just got radiant barrier installed (from Green Energy of San Antonio) along with a ridge vent and I am already noticing a difference on how long and how often my AC runs through the day. Much less run time and less often. Also got insulation blown in. The house feels much more comfortable.

Look into solar screens for your windows and a radiant barrier for your attic. 46% of your home's heat gain/loss if from your roof deck...42% is from your windows...do the math. Just don't do a spray/paint on radiant barrier, those have been proven to be a scam. Get a perforated foil barrier...you can install it your self real easy with only a staple gun. You will be happy you did it when summer kicks in.
