The days of checking in for your flight, loading for TSA and standing around at your gate are over. If you hire SkySquad, that is.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is launching a new service, SkySquad, on November 21 — just in time for the holiday travel rush, according to Culture Map Austin. Once you arrive at the airport, it's SkySquad's time to shine. A team of "trained, pre-vetted airport assistants" are there to help you from the moment you get out of your car to the moment you step on the plane. Here's what they can help you with:

  • Ticketing
  • Checking bags
  • Loading items onto security belt
  • Keeping an eye on your belongings while you're in the restroom
  • Providing general assistance while at the airport

SkySquad also markets their service toward parents and seniors. "Wish you had someone to help you with luggage, kids and just getting through the airport? Are you a senior who would like a helping hand but don’t want to be stuck in a wheelchair? Now you can find the assistance you need," the company said on its website. Not a parent or senior? There are no eligibility requirements to book a SkySquad assistance.

Let's talk pricing. How much you're paying for the SkySquad service depends on how long you'll need an assistant for. It's $49 for an hour and $99 for two. You can also personalize your service depending on if you're arriving, departing or waiting for a layover. There are additional charges (ranging from $25-$49) for help with car rentals, a large number of suitcases and any additional hours of service.

There's only one requirement to all of this: book SkySquad at least 24 hours in advance. For more details or to make a reservation, click here!
