NEISD: Winter Storm Damage May Cost $2 Million

A spokeswoman for the Northeast ISD says winter storm damage to the district's buildings may cost $2 million to repair. Aubrey Chancellor says the damage estimate so far is about one-point-four million, and that's just for parts. Chancellor says labor costs will add to the total. She says the district's campuses had broken water pipes everywhere, but the costliest items to replace will be four damaged chillers at three schools. The chillers are a major component of the central air conditioning systems.
