San Antonio Text Service Lets Residents Know When Vaccines Are Available

Local residents now have a text alert system available to notify them when the city and some county vaccine sites will have more doses. San Antonio is partnering with some of the Bexar County sites for the alerts. City and county residents can receive updates by text directly to their phones. The texts will let people know when a location has available appointments, but will not sign people up for them. Residents can receive the messages by texting "VACCINE" to 55000, or "VACUNA" to get the texts in Spanish.
