Austin To Waive Residential Permitting, Development Fees For Storm Repairs

Austin is planning to waive residential permitting and development fees for people looking to repair homes after the winter storms. The City Council is going to vote today on an ordinance removing the taxes due to the large amount of damage across the city. Tree and tree limb removal fees would also be waived along with emergency medical services charges. The city is also planning to declare a local state of disaster.
