San Antonio COVID-19 Hospitalizations Remain Below 900

Metro Health officials say the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to improve, with 879 now hospitalized in San Antonio. That's a dramatic improvement from two weeks ago. 357 patients are in ICU with 246 on ventilators.

Officials are reporting there have now been 41,082 cases of coronavirus in Bexar County since the pandemic began. The total includes 524 new cases that were reported on Sunday.

Officials also reported three new deaths, along with another 13 deaths that weren't reported in July, so the county's death toll is now 368. The number of local hospitalizations is still fewer than a thousand.
