Garden Ridge police are on the lookout for a man who shot and killed a convenience store clerk during a robbery early Wednesday. Police are identifying the victim as 40-year-old Pollyanna Smotherman of Cibolo, who was killed on the job at the EZ Mart on FM 3009 near Nacogdoches Road at about 3 a.m. The suspect got away with cash and lottery tickets. He's described as a man in his 20s or 30s. He was caught on surveillance video, but his pandemic mask is hampering identification efforts.
