San Antonio Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at the Sapphire Apartments near Fredericksburg Road and Hamilton Wolfe.
The blaze broke out about midnight and quickly spread. In all, 8 of the 16 units of the building were damaged by fire. The remaining units sustained smoke and water damage. One person was treated by paramedics after jumping from a second floor balcony to safety.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze.
