Local colleges modify class schedules due to coronavirus

Many area colleges are modifying their schedules as a result of coronavirus concerns.

UTSA has announced they are extending their Spring Break. Starting March 23, they will have all classes online. The college campus will remain open with social distancing practices in place for public events involving more than 50 people.

Texas State is extending spring break for a week and will move courses to remote delivery through April 12.

Trinity University is extending Spring Break through March 22 and closing the dorms and City Vista apartments starting Monday, March 16. Beginning March 23, classes will be online for the remainder of the spring semester.

St. Mary's University has announced they will be extending their Spring Break by one week for students. The campus will stay open and faculty and staff should continue as normal. Classes will start back up on Monday, March 23.

Alamo Colleges announced in the interest of public health and safety, all public events and programs are being cancelled until after April 15.

Texas A&M San Antonio is extending spring break a week. Courses resume through online delivery on Monday, March 23.

St. Edwards University in Austin will hold online classes from March 23 to April 4.

University of Houston has canceled classes for the week of March 16 and will begin hosting them remotely starting March 23.
